My favorite tall wedge boots are back today, along with my leopard scarf and quilted vest over a red top and paired with skinny jeans.
This article is one of a series showing the many outfit combinations I’ve designed from my 24-piece Fall/Winter Capsule wardrobe.
Here are the items from today’s outfit:
Check out these blogs that I’m linking up with! Today I’m linking up with Julie and Trista and their “Growing in Gratitude” series, posting about what we are grateful for. I love this idea. Isn’t it so easy to just take things for granted in life? So here’s a few of the things I’m grateful for right now…
Quiet nights at home with my boys
After traveling for work three times in January, I’ve been enjoying staying home in February. Work has been crazy busy, which makes quiet nights at home the medicine I need to relax and decompress. Kevin, Aiden, Cade and I have been spending a lot of evenings together playing games, reading, watching movies, and laughing (often because of some crazy Minion pj’s).
Aiden has been wanting to start a blog of his own, so I helped him start one this month and we’ve been blogger buddies!! If you want to make an 11-year old happy, take a quick look at his site or even better leave him a comment.
Weight loss
Kevin and I have both been following a ketogenic diet since the beginning of the year. My goal is to lose about 25 pounds, and I’ve made a lot of progress even faster than I expected (though the pace of loss is slowing). My BMI is now back in the normal range. But the most exciting part is how much BETTER I feel. I have so much more energy and confidence already.
Chess
Growing up, I loved playing board games. Monopoly, Skip-Bo, and Risk were some of my favorites. So when Aiden and Cade came along, I had dreams of family game nights! They are finally to an age where we can play games we all enjoy and I so thrilled we can share this hobby. Currently, they are both obsessed with Chess. We’ve been having family chess tournaments. Each kid plays a parent, and the winners play each other. They are starting to get tough to beat!
What are you grateful for this month?
Red is my favorite color but I like this entire outfit. Found you on Blogger’s Pit Stop Link Party.
Thanks Candy!
I love love love quiet evenings and quiet weekends. It’s such a rarity to find one that isn’t demanding something from one of us. Glad you’re getting to enjoy them too! Thank you for linking up with us! ❤️
Thanks Trista!
Congrats on your weight loss! That’s so exciting!
Thank you Julie!
I love that Leopard scarf. Nice to see gratefulness it keeps us grounded and mindful. Awesome weight loss. I have kept my weight in check now for 12 months after being on the same diet. I had tried lots of other ways but keto is the easiest and most effective.
